Parameters for terrain points

You can define the labels for terrain points in a dialog box. The current setting is displayed at bottom right. You can define the following parameters:

Additional text

When you select this option, you can enter up to 4 lines of additional text after placing the terrain point.

Special text

When you select this option, a special label is applied to the terrain points. This label is generated automatically (e.g., height of point, point number, coordinates). You can define a prefix and suffix for every type of special label.

• Special text: specify whether the label is to include the coordinates (X=/Y=), height (H=), station or code (St= depending on the Stacod setting), number (No=), number + height (No=/H=), label (L=) or label + height (L=/H=) of the terrain point.
• Leading digits: enter the number of leading digits.
• Decimal places: enter the number of decimal places.
• Prefix type: select the prefix type (X, Y, H, No, St, Cd, L) for which you want to define a prefix or suffix.
• Prefix: enter the prefix for the selected prefix type.
• Suffix: enter the suffix for the selected prefix type.

Reference line

When you select this option, a line is drawn from the terrain point to the last line in the special label and to every line in the additional text.

Enter text offset manually

When you select this option, you can define the position of the label when placing the terrain point. Otherwise, enter a value for the text offset.

Text offset in mm/inches

Enter the text offset.

Text angle in degrees

Enter the text angle.

Position of label

Enter the position of the text relative to the terrain point.

Placement

Specify whether you want to place the text items beside or below each other.
