Error message "Maximum number of data items reached"

Errors and error messages while transferring DXF/DWG files

If a file you are importing is very complex or very large, the error message Maximum number of data items reached may appear during import. This means that there is insufficient memory to import the file.

For example, this error can occur when you export a file to AutoCAD and then re-import it, as a considerable number of new solids may be generated. The same applies to hatching with holes – these may result in a large number of additional macros.

If the available memory is insufficient, the following options are available:

• In the Services application, click Service - Hotline Tools - docsize and increase the size.
• In the Options under Explode elements, activate the Smart symbols and/or Solids options. Allplan then explodes these elements before the transfer. As a result, they take up less space.
