Modify Color (RGB) (pattern defaults)

Pattern Definition

You can use the Modify Color (RGB) tool to modify the color of elements of a pattern definition. You can choose from 256 colors from the RBG color palette (applies to line elements, too).

RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue. This describes a color system in which colors are defined by means of red, green and blue gain.

To modify the color of pattern elements

1. Click Modify Color (RGB) (How).
   

   Activate Modify Color (RGB) in one of the following ways

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Pattern defaults

2. Select the elements whose color you want to modify.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

3. Select a new color in the Select RGB Color dialog box.
