Pattern definition

You can use the Copy Pattern tool to copy an existing pattern to a different pattern number.

To copy a pattern

1. Click Copy Pattern (How).
   

   Activate Copy Pattern in one of the following ways

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Pattern defaults

   Tip: You can also copy patterns in ProjectPilot (File menu). This is useful if you want to copy a number of patterns in one go.

2. Enter the number of the pattern you want to copy and press Enter to confirm.

   Note: When you are working with NDW-format files, you can only copy patterns that are actually available and saved in the NDW file in question.

3. Enter the number of the pattern to which you want to copy.

   If the number you entered already contains a pattern, find an empty one or acknowledge the confirmation prompt displayed by the program to overwrite the existing pattern.
