Finding layers in the "Layer" dialog box

The Layer dialog box provides a convenient way of looking for layers.

To find a layer in the "Layer" dialog box

1. Click Select, Set Layers (How).
   

   Activate Select, Set Layers in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Format

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+4

   • Toolbar: Format

   Note: If the Layer dialog box is open, click somewhere in the area where the layers are displayed.

2. Open the search tool in one of the following ways:
   • Use the right mouse button to click in the area where the layers are displayed. On the shortcut menu, click Find....
   • Press CTRL+F.
3. Enter the text you want to find and click Next. The system goes to the first layer that contains the text you have entered.

Note: It is sufficient to enter the first letters of the layer name.
