Effective and ergonomic approach, using handles

Handles allow you to select elements first and then execute a function. This way, you can move, copy, rotate or delete elements in an easy and comfortable way. This can be very useful when you do not need to enter elements in a precise manner.

To do this	Do this
Select a single element	Click element
Select several elements within a selection window	Click in the workspace, press and hold down the left mouse button and open a selection rectangle.
Select additional element(s)	Press and hold down the CTRL key and click the additional element or enclose it in a selection rectangle.
Unselect elements	Press and hold down the CTRL key and click the elements or enclose them in a selection rectangle.

Delete elements using handles	On the shortcut menu, click Delete or press the DEL key.
Move elements using handles	Click the selected elements and drag. Pressing and holding down the SHIFT key moves the elements in an orthogonal direction.
