Effective and ergonomic approach, controlling the display on screen

The border of each viewport includes functions that control the on-screen display (e.g. zoom in/out, refresh). You can also use the middle mouse button and/or the keyboard. The advantage of this method is that it is significantly quicker.

To do this	Keyboard	Middle mouse button
Refresh	F5	Double-click
Zoom	F6	CTRL+click and drag (or click and drag with the right mouse button)
Zoom dynamically		ALT+press and hold down middle mouse button (or use mouse wheel)
Pan	F7	Click and drag
Regen	F8	CTRL+double-click
