Defining the coordinates of the eye point and target point

The eye point defines the position of the observer viewing the model. The target point defines the point at which the observer looks. You can enter the coordinates of the eye point and target point as values or you can get them of an existing point in your drawing.

To define the eye point and target point in a perspective view

1. Click 3D View (How).
   

   Activate 3D View in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: View Views

   • Toolbar: Viewport toolbar

   The 3D View palette opens.

2. Define the eye point and target point in one of the following ways:
   • Enter values for the Eye point and Target point.
   • Click the Select button to the right of Set point to match the values of a point by clicking it (only possible in design mode). You get all coordinates with a single click. Make sure you click a "genuine" point.
