Allplan Exchange dialog box

Using the settings in the File names category of the Settings dialog box (How), you can specify the conventions for the names of the output files created.

Activate the Settings dialog box in one of the following ways:

• The Layout module is open.
• Allplan Exchange dialog box (How) is open.
  

  Activate the Allplan Exchange dialog box in one of the following ways

  • The Layout module is open.

  • Menu bar: Create Layout Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution

  • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution
  • Palette: Tools Basic family Create area Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution

• Menu bar: ---

• Button: Settings (at bottom left)
• Shortcut menu: ---

Attributes column

Attributes box

Select the attribute group.

Attributes

Lists the attributes that are available in the attribute group selected. Clicking an attribute adds it to the Name convention box at the position where the insertion marker is currently located.

Name convention box

Box for specifying the individual components that go to make up a file name. Clicking an attribute in the Attributes column automatically inserts it at the position where the insertion marker is currently located.

You can add any alphanumeric characters to the attributes selected in the Attributes column.

Toolbar

Load favorite

Retrieves the settings you have saved in a favorite file.

Save favorite

Saves the current settings in a favorite file.

Reset settings

Resets all the settings back to their defaults.

Buttons

OK

Carries out the current operation or confirms all changes. The current entries and/or settings are applied and saved.

Cancel

Cancels the current operation and discards all entries and/or changes.
