Round window in arch is displayed as a rectangular window
Module(s): Basic: Walls, Openings, Components
You have created a non-rectangular window (e.g. a round window). After you have inserted this window in a wall, it is still displayed as a rectangular window.
Possible reasons:
- You have probably inserted the window below the area where two planes (roof frame) intersect. A gable window, for example, needs to be placed so that it is centered below the ridge.
- In addition, when defining the height, you have associated the bottom and top levels of the window with the upper and lower planes. This height setup and the position of the window below two pairs of planes cause this effect.
To achieve a round display of the window
- Click
Apply Archit. Component Properties (How). - Click the window whose settings you want to modify.
The Window dialog box opens. The parameter settings of the element clicked are displayed in the dialog box.
- In the Opening tab, click Height.
- Change the height definition of the window by entering absolute values.
In the following example, the bottom level of the window is set to 8.90m, and the component is 1.00 m high.

- Click OK to confirm your entries.
- Select the windows to which you want to apply these changes.
Tip: The architecture filter is automatically activated. Therefore, you can use a selection rectangle.
- Click in the workspace with the right mouse button to perform the operation.
