Transferring data to Allplan Precast

You can always import Allplan drawing files into a Precast version. Conversely, you are not advised to import drawing files from a Precast version into an Allplan version. Allplan does not provide the required catalogs, which causes problems when you modify data.

Precast drawing files are only upwardly compatible. Thus, you can import ...

• Drawing files from Allplan Precast 2008 to Allplan Precast Edition 2010, to Allplan Precast 2012, Allplan Precast 2015 and PLANBAR 2016.
• Drawing files from an Allplan Precast Edition 2010 to Allplan Precast 2012, Allplan Precast 2015 and PLANBAR 2016.
• Drawing files from Allplan Precast 2012 to Allplan Precast 2015 and PLANBAR 2016.
• Drawing files from Allplan Precast 2015 to PLANBAR 2016.
• Drawing files from Allplan 2008 and Allplan 2009 to Allplan Precast 2008, Allplan Precast Edition 2010, Allplan Precast 2012, Allplan Precast 2015 and PLANBAR 2016.
• Drawing files from Allplan 2011 and Allplan 2012 to Allplan Precast 2012, Allplan Precast 2015 and PLANBAR 2016.
• Drawing files from Allplan 2013, Allplan 2014 and Allplan 2015 to Allplan Precast 2015 and PLANBAR 2016.
• Drawing files from Allplan 2016 to PLANBAR 2016.

Note: In order to import Allplan drawing files of later versions (for example, 2011) to earlier Precast versions (for example, 2008P), you must begin by converting the drawing files using the Services application of the later version.
