Modifying local placement parameters

You can use the
Modify Local Placement Parameters tool to modify the mesh type within a region, the number off management by altering the layer and/or component factor and you can toggle the direction of the mesh diagonals. In addition, you can configure whether or not pieces are added to the number off if you are not working in Reinforce with 3D model mode.
You cannot use this tool to modify MWS meshes.
To modify the placement parameters in a region
- Click
Modify Local Placement Parameters (How). - Select the area to be modified:
- by clicking a mesh or
- opening a selection rectangle or using the brackets feature or
- by clicking a placement polygon (this will select all the meshes in the polygon).
- Select the new mesh type:
- Click Mesh Type to select a defined mesh type in the list or
- click the box beside Mesh Type and enter the mesh identifier manually.
- Click (layer factor) to change the number of layers.
- Click the box to enter a factor for the component.
- You can control the number (quantity) and representation of the modified area using the following:
- Click to include the bars in number off or to ignore them.
- Click Diagonal to toggle between

(the direction of the diagonal).
- Click OK to confirm. The region updates to reflect the new settings.
