Reinforcing bar legend
Module(s): Bar Reinforcement + BAMTEC
You can use the
Reinforcing Bar Legend tool to create non-associative schedules as legends that are always derived from the selected drawing files or NDW file and that are placed in the current document. All drawing files open in edit mode as well as all elements located on modifiable layers are taken into account.
Legends can update automatically (depending on the settings you make).
Please note that the scope of the elements in an associative legend does not depend on the layout elements placed. It is the saved state of the document that is decisive. Showing or hiding drawing files that are open in edit mode and contain reinforcement elements or changing the visibility settings of layers has an immediate and direct effect on the associative legend placed in the layout.
Before sending a layout with an associative legend to the printer, check that the contents of the legend meet your requirements. If necessary, explode the associative legend in design entities in document edit mode after you have completed the reinforcement drawing.
To create a non-associative reinforcement schedule as a legend
- Click
Reinforcing Bar Legend (How). - Select the folder, subfolder and name of the legend.
Subfolder: 19 Engineering - Define the type of the legend:
- When you select the Associative legend of active document option, any changes in the document are automatically displayed in the legend.
- Disable this option if you want the legend to reflect the current status of the document.
- You can use Precision of calculation to switch the precision setting for drawing files from earlier versions that were drawn with standard precision (+ = real*4).
- Associative legends can immediately be placed in the document.
In the case of non-associative legends, do the following:- Click
in the input options to find elements based on advanced criteria. - the reinforcement elements by clicking them, enclosing them in a selection rectangle or fence, or using the bracket tool
or
Double-click with the right mouse button or click All in the input options to select all the marks. - Place the schedule as a legend in the workspace.
- Associative legends can be edited using the shortcut menu. You have the following options:
- Use the
Update Label tool to include any changes you have made to the document or drawing file, which are not reflected immediately (e.g. changes to the layer status), in the legend. - You can change the page break within a legend by clicking in the workspace or entering a value in the dialog line.
- You can resize a legend by clicking in the workspace or entering a factor in the dialog line.
- You can explode a legend into individual elements. All the elements are given the same group number so that you can quickly and easily select and edit the exploded legend in its entirety.
Notes:
- For added control and to avoid misinterpretation, bar shapes with acute angles and /or with modified bending pins that are not in accordance with the codes always appear smooth.
- Bear in mind that elements in drawing files open in reference mode or on visible but frozen layers are not included in the schedule. You should therefore use a different color for drawing files open in reference mode and for frozen layers as an aid to orientation.
