Hidden Line View

Module(s): Shell

You can use the Hidden Line View tool to create a hidden line image for a view. Any changes you make to the image have no effect on the shell entity and are lost when you convert it to a wireframe model.

To display views or sections as a hidden line image

1. Click Hidden Line View (How).
   

   Activate Hidden Line View in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Engineering Views, Details Shell

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Shell

2. Click the desired view (or section).
   

Note: The view’s three-dimensional information is lost in the hidden-line image. Any modifications you make in this view will not affect the other views as the association with the three-dimensional model has been lost.

The view gets its “intelligence“ back when it is restored to its original state with the Wireframe View tool.
