Placing meshes as a linear placement
Tool(s): Place Mesh Shape
To place existing mesh marks as a linear placement
- Click
Place Mesh Shape (How). - Select Linear placement in the list box at the top in the Place Mesh Shape palette.

to open a dialog box, in which all placing modes are displayed graphically. - Select the mark to be placed by clicking a mesh shape or mesh placed. Alternatively, enter its mark number in the dialog line.
- If Reinforce with 3D model is not active, the view of the bending shape to be placed relative to the placing line needs to be defined. Various are provided in the input options to help you define the line for the viewing direction.
- If necessary, select Align in the input options and the first and second point of the placing line.
If Reinforce with 3D model is active and views do not exist, you only need to define the view of the bending shape once. Alternatively, click a view if there is one.
Define the parameters of the placing region. - If necessary, click
in the Placing line to define a new placing line. - Define the reinforcement parameters and the .
Most parameters are also displayed in the graphics area, where you can define them by clicking. The parameter area updates immediately to reflect your entries. - In the input options, select the type of display to be assigned to the placement.
- Click
Mirror bending shape to mirror the bending shape in the placing view. The mirror axis is parallel to the placing line. - Click
Different mark numbers to assign different mark number to meshes of different length. - Click
Same mark numbers to assign the mark number of the selected mesh shape to all the meshes in the placement, regardless of their length. This way, you can produce whole meshes that are then cut directly on site.
Please note that modifying the placement may change the mesh length. - Click

Toggle mesh diagonal to change the direction of the mesh diagonal.
