Matching edges

Tool(s): Bar Shape + Mesh Shape

You can match several connected edges in a single step without having to click the individual corners. All you need to do is specify the start point and the end point.

To match connected edges

  1. Select Match edges in the input options. This is indicated by .
  2. Click the first edge near the start point. If necessary, move the reference point and enter the Offset to reference point in the dialog line. You can also enter negative values.

    Note: If you click a point, you do not need to enter the reference point. If there are several edges at the point clicked, Allplan uses the edge you had selected before you clicked the point.

  3. Move the crosshairs to the last edge you want to use for the bending shape. If necessary, click Switch concrete cover in the input options to change the position of the segments relative to edges.
  4. Enter the length of all the edges starting at the reference point of the first edge in the dialog line
    or
    Click the last edge or its end point and enter the length of the last edge from its reference point.

    If there are several edges at the point, Allplan uses the edge that refers to the point clicked.

Note: If the position of the bending shape varies along the edges, click the corresponding point, use Switch concrete cover to change the position of the segmetn and continue to match the edges.
