Transferring element plan

Module(s): Precast Slab + Precast Wall + Structural Precast Elements

You can use the Transfer Element Plan tool to transfer a complete element plan including all elements added manually to the layout (symbols, text, dimension lines, legends and so on) to one or more precast elements. You can also transfer reinforcement and fixtures.
Change notices of the original element plan are not transferred.

This tool is suitable for similar precast elements that differ only slightly. You cannot transfer an element plan to elements for which you have already created an element plan.

To transfer an element plan from one precast element to another precast element

1. Click Transfer Element Plan (How).
   

   Activate Transfer Elements in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Precast Precast Slab/Precast Wall/Structural Precast Elements

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Precast Slab

   Precast Wall

   Structural Precast Elements

2. Click the precast element whose element plan you want to transfer or enter the mark number in the dialog line provided Selection with mark number is selected in the input options.

   Note: You can only select precast elements for which you have already created an element plan.

3. To transfer reinforcement and fixtures, select Transfer bars, meshes and fixtures in the input options. Select the Turn direction of span option to rotate the elements by 180° in the destination precast element.
   To exclude reinforcement and fixtures from being transferred, cancel the selection of Transfer bars, meshes and fixtures.
4. Select one or more precast elements to which you want to transfer the element plan or enter the mark number in the dialog line (provided Selection with mark number is selected in the input options).
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   If the element plan, reinforcement or fixtures cannot be transferred completely, the program will issue corresponding messages.

5. If necessary, change the settings in the input options and select more precast elements or press ESC to select a different source precast element. Pressing ESC again quits the tool.
6. Select Element Plan to open the element plans transferred and adjust or modify them as you need.
