Update All-Purpose Elements

Module(s): Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

You can use the Update All-Purpose Elements tool to recalculate the 3D representation of timber/steel elements.

To update the geometry of existing timber or steel elements

1. Click Update All-Purpose Elements (How).
   

   Activate Update All-Purpose Elements in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Architecture Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Rafter Design: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

   • Configuration: Architecture Frame Construction flyout
2. Click the elements you want to recalculate
   or
   Double click with the right mouse button in the workspace to address all the elements in the document.

   Example:

   

   (1) Result after rafter and roof beam have been created
   (2) Result after roof beam has been deleted
   (3) Result after Update All-Purpose Elements has been executed. (The hole in the rafter disappears.)
