Additional Parameters for Spiral Stairs

When you have defined the outline of the circle for the spiral stair, you can change the following parameters:

(A) Center
(B) Outside radius
(C) Inside radius
(D) Radius of line of travel

Start angle: sets the start angle of the bottom step in plan view.
Positive values are measured in a counter-clockwise direction. See also unit circle).

Rotation angle: defines the delta angle between the front edge of the bottom step and the rear edge of the top step. Entering a positive value will generate a line of travel that runs counter-clockwise.

Direction of rotation: direction of rotation to the left (in which case the program interprets the angle entered above as a positive value).
Direction of rotation to the right (in which case the program interprets the angle entered above as a negative value).

Segments: specifies the number of sides in the outline polygon. You can thus obtain a smooth, round outline as well as polygonal stair outlines. (Examples)
