Stair Components dialog box
Use the Stair Components dialog box to specify whether and with which format properties specific stair components are displayed in plan view and in isometric views. In addition, you can assign materials and surfaces to stair components.
Use
Match to copy the settings from an existing component; click
Save Favorite to save the current settings as a favorite file and click
Open Favorite to retrieve this file again.
Use catalog to define the number of possible entries for Material/quality and select the relevant catalogs.
Stair components, overview
Format, 2D tab
You can make the following settings:
- You can specify which stair components are displayed in plan and in isometric views by selecting the relevant check boxes in the Element area.
The Geometry, 3D tab also contains these check boxes. - Use the Pen setting to specify which pen thickness is used to display the component in plan.
- Use the Line setting to specify which line type is used to display the component in plan.
- Use the Color setting to specify which color is used to display the component in plan.
- You can use the Layer setting to assign a separate layer to each component. Click the ... button to open the layer selection.
You can use different layers in conjunction with print sets to specify whether, where and how the components (e.g. handrail, carriage) are displayed.
Geometry, 3D tab
You can make the following settings:
- You can specify which stair components are displayed in plan and in isometric views by selecting the relevant check boxes in the Geometry area.
The Format, 2D tab also contains these check boxes. - Clicking the button of a stair component in the Geometry area opens a dialog box with a schematic view of the component clicked. This is where you enter the dimensions.
- Use the 3D Line setting to specify which line type is used to display the component in 3D (perspective views)
- Use the Surface elements setting to specify which surface element is used to display the component in sections.
Select the check box and click the associated button to open the Surface elements dialog box. You can assign a Hatching style, Pattern, Fill or Style Area to each stair component and specify whether the surface element in question is to be displayed or not. - Click the button in the Surface area to select a custom surface in the Surface palette and to assign it to the component.
You can see this surface in animation and in rendered images. - You can assign a material to the component in the Material / qualities area. You can then include this material in the stair reports.
