"Stair Geometry" dialog box

After you have drawn the outline of the stair and clicked OK to confirm the Stair Outline / Line of Travel / Height dialog box, set the parameters for the stair's line of travel and geometry.

New Attributes	You can use this tool to match the attributes of an existing stair. This deletes all existing attributes and replaces them with the new attributes.
Match Object Attributes - Add	You can use this tool to match the attributes of an existing stair. This overwrites existing attributes with the new values and adds new attributes to the existing set of attributes.
Assign, Modify Object Attributes	You can use this tool to modify attributes of an existing stair and assign new attributes. For more details, see Assign, Modify Object Attributes (Object Manager module).
Height at top, Height at bottom	Enter the Absolute height at top (= height of the stair component at the top) as an absolute elevation or Enter the Absolute height at bottom (= height of the stair component at the bottom) as an absolute elevation.
Material	Material / Qualities of the stair The last material you selected is the default.
Rise	Rise
Tread	Tread
2R+T	Tread-to-riser ratio
Steps	Number of steps (including landings)
Top step	Last step at the height of the top or a rise below the top of the stair
Skew method	Skew methods Depending on the selected stair type, you can choose from six different skew methods.
Ldg+, Lndg	Landing + rise (= wide step) Add, remove landing
EStAuxPt	Edge of step through point on line of travel
Fixed Angle	Changes and fixes step angle
Release Ang	Release a step angle
Arc:	Radius of smoothing arc
Segment	Segment length of smoothing arc
Aux Pt	Move point on auxiliary line
Outline Pt	Move point on outline of stair
Additional parameters for stairs with landings	You can define additional parameters for u-type stairs, single quarter landing stairs and double quarter landing stairs.
	Toggle for defining the stair components
Close	Finishes the stair design.

Tip: When creating or modifying stairs, you can see symbols at the points where the steps and the line of travel intersect. These symbols are only visible in plan view. These symbols provide information on certain geometric properties of the stair.
