Using label styles for labeling

Tool(s) Label Style

To use a label style

• You have selected a tool that creates a label, e.g., Room, Group Rooms, Stories or Label. You have made the necessary entries and are now ready to place the label. The relevant context toolbar is displayed.

1. On the context toolbar, click Label style.
2. Select a label style.
   • The label styles that come with Allplan are in the Default folder.
   • Custom label styles are in the Office, Project or Private folders.
   • Imported label styles can also be in the External path.
3. A preview of the label style is attached to the crosshairs. Place it in the workspace.
   You can use the tools in the input options to place it.
   

   The following additional tools are available in the Input options to assist you when placing labels:

   Horiz

   Places the label so that it is horizontal.

   Vertic

   Places the label so that it is vertical.

   Angle

   Places the label at an angle you specify. Before placing the label, enter the angle in the dialog line or click a point of rotation and direction in the workspace.

   Auto

   Places the label so that it automatically reflects the geometry of the selected component (important for window labels with label styles).

   Resize

   Changes the size of the label.
   Enter a factor in the dialog line.

   Skip

   Skips the current component (i.e., it is not labeled).
