Joint

Module(s): Special: Walls, Openings, Components

You can use the Joint tool to insert joints in walls.

To create a joint

1. Click Joint (How).
   

   Activate Joint in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Special: Walls, Openings, Components

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Special: Walls, Openings, Components

2. Set the joint's anchor point .
   

   In the icon, click to place the transport point.

   With openings (for instance doors and windows) only the following options are available:

   

3. Click the wall. The system will automatically display the offset distance between the point you clicked and the nearest reference point (represented by a small arrow). You can accept or change this value. Press ENTER to confirm this value.
4. Enter the width of the joint and press ENTER to confirm this value.
5. Enter the depth of the joint and press ENTER to confirm this value.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 to draw more joints. Otherwise, press ESC to quit the tool.
