Delete Component Number

Module(s): various modules in the Architecture family

You can use the Delete Component Number tool to delete the component numbers assigned to architectural elements.

To delete component numbers

1. Click Delete Component Number (How).
   

   Activate Delete Component Number in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Architecture General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

   Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

   Special: Walls, Openings, Components

   Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

   Stairs

   Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

   • Configuration: Architecture Architecture Edit flyout
   • Configuration: Landscaping/Urban Planning Modifications flyout
2. Select the elements whose component numbers you want to delete.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

3. Click the right mouse button to confirm your entries.

Note: To delete the component number on-screen while retaining its association with the element, use Delete.
