Copying and mirroring area

You can use the Copy and Mirror Area tool to copy and mirror an area of a scanned image (the original is retained).

• When you employ the Copy and Mirror Area tool to edit the image, the file containing the image is also modified. You should therefore use Copy Image to make a backup copy first.

To mirror and copy an area of the scanned image currently associated with the drawing file

1. Click Copy and Mirror Area (How).
   

   Activate Copy and Mirror Area in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Bonus Tools Scan

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Scan

2. Use the polyline entry tools to define the area you want to copy and mirror.
3. Define the mirror axis.

   Note: To obtain a mirror axis that is exactly horizontal or vertical, enter the second point of the axis using Delta Point in the Point Assistant.
