Saving area

Module(s): Scan

You can use the Save Area tool to save an area of the image as a new image.

To save an area of the scanned image in a separate file

1. Click Save Area (How).
   

   Activate Save Area in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools Scan

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Scan

2. Enter the area(s) to be saved in a separate file using the polyline entry rules. Press ESC to finish.
3. In the Target Scanned Image dialog box, enter the name of the new file and click Save.

Note: The new file can be handled like any other scanned image file. If you want, you can also associate it with drawing files using Link with Scanned Image.
