You can use this exchange favorite to import AutoCAD's model space to drawing files.
The AutoCAD layers can be spread among several drawing files, and they are placed on one layer within each drawing file (e.g. drawing file 9 wall, wall layer).
The advantage of this approach is that the layer structure (layer names) is not lost when you re-export the drawing files.
Application |
This exchange favorite can only be used in drawing file edit mode. |
Import |
AutoCAD model space -> Allplan drawing files and layers |
Export |
This exchange favorite is not suitable for exporting data. |
Result |
Allplan creates a drawing file with a layer for each AutoCAD layer. The layer structure of the person with whom you are exchanging data becomes Allplan's drawing file structure. |
Drawing files |
AutoCAD layers can be arranged on drawing files during the import process. This option is only useful when less than 60 layers are transferred as you can display up to 128 drawing files in a fileset. |
Layers |
A layer is created per drawing file (e.g. drawing file 9 wall, wall layer). |
Note: You can assign empty drawing files to the layers in the Configuration for conversion dialog box, Additional layers tab. When you select all layers, you can configure Allplan to automatically arrange them on empty drawing files in ascending or descending order.
