Modify base value

Module(s): Dimension Lines

You can use the Modify Base Value tool to change the base value of an elevation dimension line and/or the reference point on which this value is based.

To modify the base value and reference point of an elevation dimension

1. Click Modify Base Value (How).
   

   Activate Modify Base Value in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Dimension Lines

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Dimension Lines

2. Click the elevation dimension line of which you want to modify the base value and/or reference point.

   The current value is displayed in the dialog line. The current reference point is marked by a red square.

3. Modify the base value and/or reference point as follows:
   • To modify the reference point: click a new reference point.
   • To modify the base value: enter a new value in the dialog line.
4. Press ENTER to confirm.

Note: You cannot change the base value when creating Absolute Elevation Dimensioning.
