Name
Enter a meaningful name for the cross-section.
Type
Specify the number of corners for the cross-section. When a custom cross-section is used, the Freeform check box is active. You can enter values between 4 and 72 in the Polygon with … corners box.
Width
Enter the width of the cross-section in mm.
Depth
Enter the depth of the cross-section in mm.
Corner
You can define the behavior of line elements and face elements adjacent to corners:
Cross-section rotated: the line element is rotated and placed on the angle bisector. It is not resized.
Cross-section rotated and resized: the line element is rotated and placed on the angle bisector. In addition, its depth is resized so that it is flush with horizontal elements.
Cross-section rotated, resized and cropped: the line element is rotated and placed on the angle bisector. In addition, the cross-section is divided at its center and the two resulting parts are resized and cropped so that they fit in the horizontal outline.
Cross-section rotated and splayed: the line element is rotated and placed on the angle bisector. In addition, the cross-section is divided at its center and the two resulting parts are resized and splayed so that they fit in the horizontal outline. The width of the cross-section is not corrected.
Cross-section rotated and splayed: the line element is rotated and placed on the angle bisector. In addition, the cross-section is divided at its center and the two resulting parts are resized and splayed so that they fit in the horizontal outline. The width of the cross-section is corrected so that at least one side is of the full width.
Move X axis
Moves the geometry in relation to the X axis.
Move Y axis
Moves the geometry in relation to the Y axis.
Move Z axis
Moves the geometry in relation to the Z axis.
Mirror cross-section
Mirrors the geometry of the cross-section.
Rotate cross-section
Rotates the geometry of the cross-section.
Retrieve cross-section
You can use this tool to to import any cross-section from Allplan. You can only import cross-sections that consist of closed 2D polylines.
