Element properties

Objects dialog box

The dimensions/properties of the relevant element are displayed and can be modified. The preview panes update immediately to reflect the entries you make.

Name

Enter a meaningful name for the element.

Add element

A new element is created with the default properties.

Copy element

A new element is created based on the selected object.

Delete element

The current element is deleted.

Retrieve element

You can load facade elements (*.fde files) you have saved.

Save element

You can save the selected facade element (*.fde file).

Element creation

Clicking Inactive prevents the element from being created.
Click Match geometry or Match smart symbol to use 3D objects or smart symbols as elements.

Type

You can define the appearance of the object (point, line or face).

Direction

Specify the direction of the element.

Position in field

Define where the element can be placed within the facade.

Subdivision settings

Specify whether the element is to be subdivided further (only possible with elements of the line or face type).

Segment

Specify which segment of the element you just divided is to be used.
