Using favorites

You can use the Layout Element, NDW Layout Element and List Layout Elements tools to save all the settings of the current layout element (with the exception of the angle) as a favorite file and retrieve them (and, if you want, modify them).

To save the settings as a favorite

1. Click Layout Element (How) or click NDW Layout Element (How) and select an NDW file or list the desired layout elements using List Layout Elements (How).
   

   Activate List Layout Elements in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Layout

   

   Activate NDW Layout Element in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Layout

   

   Activate Layout Element in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Layout

2. Set parameters or change them (if necessary, in the Properties of layout element dialog box).
3. Click Save a favorite on the Context toolbar or on the shortcut menu of a layout element.

   You can also save the settings as a favorite file in the Properties of layout element dialog box.

4. Enter the path and name for the favorite file and click Save to confirm.
   

To load the settings saved as a favorite

1. Click Layout Element (How) or click NDW Layout Element (How) and select an NDW file or list the desired layout elements using List Layout Elements (How).
2. Click Load favorite on the Context toolbar or on the shortcut menu of a layout element.

   You can also retrieve the settings saved as a favorite file in the Properties of layout element dialog box. The settings are applied to all the selected layout elements.

3. Select a favorite file and click Open.
4. Adjust the settings, if necessary.
