Note to file

Module(s): Detailing

You can use the Note to File tool to place the contents of the note in the drawing file.

You can select this tool only if you have selected the Show fileset structure option in the Settings of the Open on a project-specific basis: drawing files from fileset/building structure dialog box. In addition, you must be in a drawing open in the fileset structure.

To place a note in the drawing file

1. Click Note to File (How).
   

   Activate Note to File in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Change Engineering Views, Details Detailing

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Detailing

2. Set the start point.
