General mark properties

Modifying mark and hook of a bar mark

You can define the following mark properties in the General area.

Mark number

Set the mark number. If you enter an existing mark number, the program issues a message indicating the next available mark number, which you can accept.
The largest possible mark number is 9999.

Number of pieces

Specify the number of pieces. Click to open another dialog box. You cannot enter the value directly in the palette. When you have selected several marks, the number of pieces is only displayed when the Modified number of pieces is the same for all the selected marks.

The Actual number of pieces is displayed for your information. When you have selected several marks, this number is only displayed when the Actual number of pieces is the same for all the selected marks. However, you can always change the value in the Modified number of pieces line. Clicking enters the Actual number of pieces.

Concrete strength grade

The concrete strength grade you have selected in the options is displayed for information.

Cross-section catalog

The list box presents all the cross-section catalogs defined as bar cross-section catalogs.

Diameter

The list box provides various diameters, which depend on the selected cross-section catalog.

Length

Specify the Length. Click to open another dialog box. You cannot enter the value directly in the palette. When you have selected several marks, the length is only displayed when the Modified length is the same for all the selected marks.

In the Length dialog box, specify how the segments are labeled and how the bar length is calculated. In addition, define the length factor for bars placed per meter.
When you have selected Inner dimensions for segment labeling or when you have disabled the Calculate actual length option, Allplan calculates the length by adding the dimensions of the segments. Otherwise, the length is calculated based on the center line of the bar.

The Actual length is displayed for your information in the Actual length line. When you have selected several marks, the length is only displayed when the Actual length is the same for all the selected marks. However, you can always change the value in the Modified length line. Clicking enters the Actual length.

Note: When you change the Cross-section catalog or Diameter, the hook length and bending pin adapt automatically.
