Terrain point

Module(s): Advanced Draft + Site Plan + Digital Terrain Model

You can use the Terrain Point tool to create points with point symbols (2D oder 3D), primary and secondary point numbers as well as stations and point coding. You can specify whether points are saved in 2D or 3D in the Options - Terrain - Site plan and advanced draft area.

To place a terrain point

1. Click Terrain Point (How).
   

   Activate Terrain Point in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Advanced Draft

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Advanced Draft

   Site Plan

   Digital Terrain Model

   • Configuration: Landscaping/Urban Planning Advanced Draft flyout
2. Enter the parameters for the terrain point.
3. Set the symbol’s drop-in point.

Note: When you place a station point, the program registers the point number as a negative value. The same applies when the numbering option is disabled. You can only assign point codes together with point numbers - in this case, the number is usually positive.
