Move

You can use the Move tool to move elements.

To move elements

1. Click Move (How).
   

   Activate Move in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Edit

   • Keyboard: SHIFT+CTRL+V

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Edit flyout
2. Select the elements you want to move.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

3. Move the elements in one of the following ways:
   • Place the from point and to point.
   • Specify the X and Y vector in the dialog line.

Tip: If you do not need to place the elements exactly, you can also select them in plan using handles and then move them. For more information, see Editing elements using handles.
