Freehand Line

Module(s): Draft

You can use the Freehand Line tool to draw a freehand line.

To draw a freehand line

1. Click Freehand Line (How).
   

   Activate Freehand Line in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Draft

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Draft

2. Enter the granularity of the freehand line in the dialog line and press Enter to confirm.
   

   A freehand line is made up of line segments with a constant length.

   The shorter the length, the smoother the lines in tight curves. Note, however, that this will increase the volume of data generated and slow down the refresh process.

   Example:

3. Click in the workspace to set the start of the freehand line, keep the left mouse button pressed down and drag the mouse.

   A line is drawn until you release the mouse button.

4. The drawing process finishes when you release the left mouse button.
