Filtering projects, drawing files and layouts

You can apply filters to find projects, drawing files, filesets and layouts that match specific conditions. Only the objects that match the filter criteria are then presented in the dialog box for selection.

To apply a filter

1. Click Project filter, Drawing file filter, Fileset filter or Layout filter.
2. Under Attribute select the attribute on which filtering shall be based.
3. Under Operator select the logical operator.
   

   =	same as
   <	less/smaller than
   >	more/larger than
   <=	smaller or same
   >=	larger or same
   <>	not same as
   like	contains characters in the given sequence (also for occurrences with wildcards)

   Note: Only those operators that are appropriate to the selected attribute are displayed.

4. Under Value enter the condition that the attribute is to fulfill.
5. Click Add line.
6. If you want to enter more conditions, define the next condition, specify how the conditions are to be linked and click Add line again.
   

   • If you want the element you are looking for to meet all the conditions, select the AND operator.
   • If you want the element you are looking for to meet just one of several conditions select the OR operator.
   • If you want the element you are looking for to meet the first condition but not the other one select the NOT operator.

   When there are more than two conditions, the AND operator has precedence over the OR operator.

7. When you have finished defining criteria, click Filter.

Note: The project filter and layout filter remain active until you switch them off by clicking and Off, respectively.
