Hatching

Module(s): Draft

You can use the Hatching tool to apply hatching to an area.

To apply hatching to an area

1. Click Hatching (How).
   

   Activate Hatching in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Draft

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Draft flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Draft

2. If you want, you can now change the hatching parameters or select a different hatching style.
   The context toolbar provides several options.
   

   • Click Properties to set the parameters in a dialog box.
   • Click Match Properties to copy the settings from hatching that you already applied.
   • Click the number of a hatching style to select it.
3. Enter the area as you would a normal polyline.

Note: The pen, line and color of the hatching are defined by the settings on the Format toolbar or by the settings in the Hatching defaults. If the Pen and color defined in defaults are used for display option is selected in the defaults, Allplan will use the format properties defined in the defaults, regardless of the settings on the Format toolbar. If the Pen and color defined in defaults are used for display option is not selected, Allplan will use the current settings on the Format toolbar for the hatching.
