Copy Format

You can use the Copy tool on the Format toolbar to copy the format properties of an element to one or more elements. With the exception of the group/segment number, all format properties are copied.

The format properties of an element comprise all settings concerning its display. Format properties include pen thickness, line color, construction lines, group/segment and layer.

To copy format properties

1. Click Copy (How).
   

   Activate Copy in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Format

   • Toolbar: Standard
2. Click the element whose format properties you want to copy.
3. Select the elements to which you want to apply the format.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   Press ESC to quit the tool.
