Create New Element Plan

'Element plan' tab

General

Name:

You can enter any name. It is displayed in the tree structure of the layout catalog, in the settings of the Element Plan tool and in the dialog box for selecting the layout in the Element Plan in Batch Run tool.

Created on:

Date of creation of the data record.

Last modified:

The most recent modification date.

Mark numbers

Mode / Bars / Meshes / Fixtures:

Specify whether marks are listed By layer or By element in the table and define the display parameters for bar, mesh and fixture mark numbers.

Identical elements are always given the same mark number even when they are in different layers. When the mode is set to by layer, the program adds :B and :T (for bottom and top) and :V and :I (for visible and invisible) to the marks to make it easier to distinguish between the individual layers.

Options

Thick line:

When you select this option, lines are drawn with their actual extents on screen. Otherwise, lines are drawn with the same, thin line.

Use color 1 for all elements:

When you select this option, all the elements appear in black. Otherwise, the colors on screen match those in printouts (when you use a color printer).

Auto-select pen based on text height:

When you select this option, text with a certain height is displayed with a specific pen. You can define these assignments in the Options on the Text page.

Print construction lines:

When you select this option, elements drawn as construction lines are included in printouts.

Elements in construction line format are drawing aids. They are not included in printouts you create using the Layout module. When printing straight from the print preview, you can specify whether construction lines are to appear in printouts. The line type and color of construction lines can be changed in the Options. You can use Construction Line on/off on the Format toolbar to specify whether elements are drawn as construction lines. Use Show/Hide to globally show or hide elements drawn as construction lines.

Placement display

Show middle bar:

When you select this option, only the bar in the middle of reinforcing bar placements is displayed in all views and sections.

'Element types' tab

Specify the element types to which the current entry applies.
After you have selected an element, only the entries to which the relevant precast element type is assigned are available in the Element Plan tool. If the selected layout cannot be used for the element clicked, there are different ways to proceed:

• An element plan has already been created for this element.
  The element is displayed with its saved layout in the element plan window.
• An element plan has not yet been created for this element.
  The first valid layout is proposed for the element.

Using the Element Plan in Batch Run tool, you can only select the entries that have been assigned to the individual element types.

'Visibility' tab

Specify which layout elements are displayed in the Element Plan in Batch Run tool.
The first time you create an Element Plan, this default setting is taken into account. Then the setting saved with the element is used.
