Status bar

The status bar is the bottom line in Allplan's application window. You can hide it on the View menu - Toolbars - Status Bar. Various types of information on the current drawing file are displayed here – e.g., the reference scale and unit of length. You can also modify these values by clicking them.

Shows the current drawing type.

Scale

Shows the current reference scale. You can change the scale by clicking.

Length

Shows the current unit of length. You can change the unit by clicking.

Angle

Shows the current system angle and the current unit of angle. By clicking the angle displayed, you can set the system angle to predefined default values. To specify any angle, click Define and enter the value you need. You can change the unit by clicking.

Shows how much of the memory reserved for documents has already been allocated (as a percentage).

	Shows the current document type. The data type icon reflects the module used to create the data in a document. This icon is displayed in the status bar and in the dialog box for selecting files and filesets. The following types are available: 2D/3D design, Layout, Views and sections, bar reinforcement, mesh reinforcement, reinforcement components, BAMTEC, Allfem slabs and Allfem discs.
Drawing type	Shows the current drawing type. The drawing type defines how elements are displayed on screen and in the printout. The display of the elements varies depending on the selected drawing type. Requirements: the format properties are taken from the layer (in a fixed manner) and the use of line styles is selected. In document mode, drawing types can be selected in the status bar, and in the Layout module, you can make a selection when you place layout elements. The status bar is the bottom line in the Allplan application window. Different types of information are displayed in the status bar.
Scale	Shows the current reference scale. You can change the scale by clicking. The reference scale indicates the scale in which the object will be printed. Throughout the drafting process, it governs the true proportions of fixed settings (such as the character height, dimension lines, patterns, hatching...) relative to the object displayed on the screen.
Length	Shows the current unit of length. You can change the unit by clicking.
Angle	Shows the current system angle and the current unit of angle. By clicking the angle displayed, you can set the system angle to predefined default values. To specify any angle, click Define and enter the value you need. You can change the unit by clicking.
