Tips for efficient usage

Welcome to the Allplan Help

The help is the main source of information for learning about and working with Allplan. It provides detailed information on all you need to know about Allplan. You can search for topics in the left-hand part of the help window. The tabs at bottom left assist you in the process of finding the topic on which you require help. The area on the right displays the topic you selected.

Help icons

The following icons help you use and navigate the Allplan help:

Takes you back to the welcome page.

Help you navigate between the most recent help topics.

Creates an email with a link to the current help topic.

Creates an email you can send to the documentation team.

Prints the current help topic.

Searches for the terms entered in the box.

  • Allplan finds the topics that include all search terms you specified. It shows these topics in any sequence.
  • If you enclose the search terms in quotation marks, Allplan shows the topics in the sequence you entered the search terms.
  • You can use the "-" character to exclude a word. For example, enter workgroup -online to find the topics that include "workgroup" but that do not include "online".
  • When you select Match partial words, Allplan also shows topics where the term specified is part of a word.

Shows or hides the table of contents. When it is hidden, you can show it temporarily by clicking within the bar on the left.

Expands or collapses the entire table of contents.

Indicates whether you are using the online help or the local help. Click this button to switch to the other type.

Online help and local help

The help for Allplan is available in online mode and in a local help file. The online help is active by default. This way, you always have access to the latest help version. But of course you can switch to the local help version at any time. All you need to do is click the Online help button at bottom right in the Allplan help window. The text in the button changes to local help. The next time you open the help, the version you used last is displayed automatically.

Note: The online help uses Google Analytics to collect statistics of the help topics you select. Please refer to data protection for details.
