List generator

Module(s): Production Planning

You can use the List Generator to create lists/schedules for production and invoicing (as an alternative to the list generator of the external program). This tool requires a special license. The lists/schedules are script files. Each list/schedule consists of one file, which can be edited using Windows Editor.

To create lists/schedules for production and invoicing

  1. Click List Generator (How).
  2. Select the precast elements you want to include.

Depending on the selected elements, the Precast List Generator - List Selection dialog box presents the appropriate lists and schedules. Some lists such as the cutting list or fixture list can analyze different element types at the same time (wall and slab, for example).

Note: The Loose slab reinforcement and Loose wall reinforcement lists are can be used to analyze free reinforcement in a slab or wall element with attached basic reinforcement. Free reinforcement refers to reinforcement that cannot be placed in the grid, for example, if there are no free grid positions available, the diameter would not be permissible for attached reinforcement, or if it was placed by the user manually without being rasterized.

The default lists/schedules are in the ...\Etc\Bft_List folder and the office lists/schedules in the ...\Std\Bft_List folder. The default lists/schedules are overwritten when you update. You can use the shortcut menu to change or save the lists/schedules.

  3. If necessary, you can edit the list head using the shortcut menus of Lists and schedules in default folder and Lists and schedules in office folder and define the Schedule defaults.
  4. In the Output channel area on the right, select one of the output options for every list/schedule and set the other options accordingly.

You can use the shortcut menu to modify or save the configuration of the output channel. The most recent output channel set for a list/schedule is saved and used when you output this list/schedule again.

  5. Select one or more lists/schedules in the Schedule form area on the left and click Next>>.
To add a list/schedule to or remove it from the batch run, select or clear the check box of this list/schedule. The currently selected list/schedule is output, regardless of whether or not the check box is selected.
  6. Enter a name for the production file in the dialog line if you are working in the empty project.

If you have selected several lists/schedules, they are processed one after the other in batch mode.

  7. If required, answer the prompts displayed in the next dialog box. Use the mouse or the keyboard to make and confirm entries.

Finally, the list/schedule is displayed in the editor, the Windows print dialog box opens or the PDF file is displayed in the associated program (depending on the selected output channel and option).

  8. Create more lists/schedules for the selected elements or click Cancel to close the List Generator - List Selection dialog box and to select other elements, if necessary.

Note: You can use Save schedules and settings to save the lists/schedules in the office folder and the default settings in a *.bcl-format file in any folder. You can then give these files to partner offices, for example, or retrieve these files using Load schedules and settings.

/ Password protection of the list generator is the same as for the catalog and configuration menus.
