Importing PART catalog data

Module(s): PARTcommunity Nemetschek

You can use the Import PART Catalog Data tool to import XML data into Allplan. Before you can do this, you need to download the data from the PARTcommunity Nemetschek Portal and save the decompressed files locally or on the network. Object-specific properties are created automatically.

To import PART catalog data as smart symbols to Allplan

• You have already downloaded the data from the PARTcommunity Nemetschek Portal and saved the decompressed files on your computer.

1. Click Import PART Catalog Data (How).
   

   Activate Import PART Catalog Data in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Products, Manufacturers PART
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   PART

2. Select the desired *.xml-format file and click Open.

   Allplan imports the data as a a smart symbol, which is attached to the crosshairs.

3. Place it in the workspace and check its height.
