Assembly

Module(s): Bar Reinforcement

You can use the Assembly tool to combine reinforcing bar and mesh elements and fixtures in a group. The bending information of these groups can then be saved in special bending shape files using the Bending Machine tool.

Please note that you can only integrate elements in the current drawing file that are on modifiable layers in an assembly group. Elements that are in drawing files open in edit or reference mode or on hidden, frozen layers cannot be selected. Please note that circular reinforcement cannot be integrated in an assembly group.
When you work with associative views, the 3D elements have to be in the current drawing file. Here, the elements can be selected in the model or in the associative view.

To create an assembly group

  1. Click Assembly (How).
  2. Select the reinforcing bar and mesh elements and the fixtures you want to group.

To deactivate elements, click them again. You cannot assign elements to different groups.

  3. Specify a name and number for the group in the Assembly palette. The number of elements assigned to this group is displayed in the Group elements line.

Note: The name of the group is used to create the special bending shape files. The number is not taken into account.

  4. Press ESC to finish grouping reinforcement.

You can now create more groups or quit the tool.

To modify an assembly group
