Copying filesets

You can copy filesets both between projects and within a project. You can also choose to copy the drawing files in the fileset at the same time.

To copy filesets

1. Start ProjectPilot and open the folder with the filesets you want to copy.
   

   • Click ProjectPilot on the File menu.

     Or:

     Press CTRL+R.

   Note: You cannot make any entries in Allplan while ProjectPilot is open.

2. Select the filesets you want to copy.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select a series of non-adjacent elements, press and hold down the CTRL key and click the elements.
   • To select a range of elements, click the first element in the range, then press the SHIFT key and click the last element in the range at the same time.
3. Click the selection with the right mouse button and select Copy to... on the shortcut menu.
4. Under Project select the project where the filesets are to be copied.
5. Define the numbers of the filesets in the destination project in one of the following ways:
   • Select the desired fileset numbers.
   • Select a single fileset number; the filesets are then created in ascending order in the destination project.
6. If you also want to copy the drawing files in the fileset, select Also copy drawing files.
7. Click OK to confirm.

   If a fileset with the same name already exists, the system will prompt you to enter a different name for it.

Tip: You can also copy filesets by dragging & dropping them in the fileset folder in a different project. With this method, however, you cannot control the fileset numbers. The filesets are copied onto the same numbers as the source. For more information, see Copying and moving with drag & drop.
