Setting the external path

The "external path" or "data buffer” is a kind of temporary storage point used by the system for data administration. It can be used to exchange data between different program versions and to import external data into the program.

To set the external path

1. Start ProjectPilot
   

   • Click ProjectPilot on the File menu.

     Or:

     Press CTRL+R.

   Note: You cannot make any entries in Allplan while ProjectPilot is open.

2. In the Projects and Folders window, click External path with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, choose Select external path.
3. In the Browse for Folder dialog box, navigate to the desired folder and click OK to confirm.
