Restrictions

You can only create components that meet the following requirements:

• The vertical elements of the posts/fields are always vertical; in other words, vertical elements that are inclined cannot be created.
• Horizontal elements are created along a path in the same way as polyline sweep solids.
• Paths of which two neighboring segments are positioned at an angle both in the XY plane and in space must not be entered.

In other words, you can enter paths of the following types: the segments (individual sections) of the path are on a line in plan view and the Z coordinates of the end points are different or the segments are horizontal. In this case, they can be positioned at any angle (in the XY plane).

Note: If you still want to draw this kind of railing (to create spiral stairs, for example) and the elements are not displayed in their entirety, you should disable the Combined option in the Settings dialog box.
