Dialog box for selecting the building structure

You can see this dialog box when you open the Building structure tab in a project without a building structure.

Start building structure wizard

This starts a wizard, which helps you create a building structure quickly and easily.

Create custom building structure

This does not create a building structure. If you want to do this, you can use the floor manager or create the structure manually.

Select predefined building structure

You can select a sample structure that comes with Allplan. Select the folder with the building structure you want to use.

Use a building structure from a different project

You can copy the building structure from a different project.

Convert filesets to building structure

This option converts an existing fileset structure to a building structure. Allplan displays the Select File dialog box in which you can select the filesets you want to convert. Allplan creates the Building structural level for the entire project and converts each fileset to a Story structural level, which gets the name of the fileset. Allplan also transfers the drawing file assignments. If a drawing file is assigned to several filesets, it is only transferred to the first available structural level (remember: you cannot assign a drawing file to several structural levels in the building structure).
