Using an existing mark
Tool(s): Convert, Match Elements
To create reinforcement elements by using an existing mark
- Click
Convert, Match Elements (How). - Click the original bar you want to use.
- Click the new bar’s drop-in point. You can use the following tools to assist you:
- Enter an angle of rotation of the elements derived.
- Click
to define the point at which the preview is attached to the crosshairs. - Click

or one of the buttons displayed beside them (
/
/
) to alter the distance between the cursor and the
anchor point. - Click to define a point of your choice as the crosshairs' reference point.
- If you are working in Reinforce with 3D model mode and you have not placed the bar in an existing view, you need to select a view to which the new bar is to be added (the button Old is active in the input options).
You can also create a new view. To do this, click the New button in the input options and select a view to assign the basic orientation in three-dimensional space.Note: This way, you can also transfer marks to different spatial orientations so that a bar reverts to the not placed status, for example.
- Select the Automatic mark number option in the input options if the program is to create the mark number at the beginning or end of the label depending on the drop-in point specified. In addition, define the
Anchor point of the label. - Specify the label parameters, place the label of the definition bar (you can define the text angle in advance) and create the leader manually.

Skip labeling by pressing ESC. - To immediately place the bar you just created, select a placing mode.
